Privacy Policy
ToolPilot is engineered from the ground up to protect your digital privacy. We do not require registration, do not collect personal profiles, and do not upload your working files to remote servers.
1. The Browser-First Privacy Guarantee
The core architecture of ToolPilot is browser-first (client-side execution). When you merge PDFs, compress images, generate QR codes, calculate mortgage amortizations, hash strings, or format JSON:
- Your files, documents, and inputs are processed directly inside your web browser’s local memory.
- Your files are not transferred, uploaded, or copied across our servers.
- When you close or refresh your browser tab, your working files and memory buffers are immediately purged.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
Because ToolPilot does not require accounts to access tools:
- We do not collect names, passwords, phone numbers, or credit card numbers.
- We do not store or read the contents of uploaded PDFs, spreadsheets, or images.
- We do not log passwords or secret tokens passed into developer hashing or decoding utilities.
3. Local Storage Preferences
ToolPilot uses your browser’s native localStorage API solely to enhance your user experience:
- Theme Preference: Storing your choice of dark or light mode.
- Favorites List: Storing tool slugs you bookmark so they appear on your dashboard.
- Recent Tools: Storing the last 8 tools you launched for convenient quick access.
This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time directly through your browser settings.
4. Web Server Access Logs
Like virtually all internet platforms, our hosting infrastructure automatically records basic HTTP request headers when web assets (HTML, CSS, JavaScript files) are loaded. These server logs may include your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and timestamp. These standard logs are retained temporarily solely for network DDoS defense and technical system administration.
5. Third-Party Analytics and Advertising
To keep ToolPilot completely free, we may partner with compliant advertising networks such as Google AdSense. Third-party advertising vendors use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites.
Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or AboutAds.info.
6. Contact Regarding Privacy
